From the LILSA membership, we have Stephanie E., Alicia D., and Michelle D. committed to taking samples on Lac Ste. Anne.
Kurstyn from the ALMS team joined us to show us how it's done.
Our first date as pictured in the gallery was on the beautiful morning of June 15, with a temperature of 23 C. On the journey out, Alicia pointed out the Eagle nest, where we observed a juvenile testing its wings.
We spent just over an hour on the water collecting the samples before returning to shore
Our next date out, weather permitting, will be on July 20th.
All the results from the testing will be sent to the lab, and results will be provided later in the year.
JULY 21 - Due to personal commitments, and the weather was uncooperative anyway, the date was changed to Tuesday, July 21, for our second date to conduct our sampling and collections.

No aquatic plants were harmed during our expedition; they were gently returned to do what they do for the water.
August 17- Initially the weather looked as though it may not co-operate. Storms were in the forecast for later in the day, but never materialized for a gorgeous day on the water.
Our most interesting finding from our first testing in June to our final testing in August was a record level of 2 meters of increased water level in Lac Ste. Anne. Although residents may note algae bloom along the shorelines on especially hot days, the test location of the lake on the final day of showed sparse algae in the lake.
As soon as the results are released to us, we advise the formal finadings from the lab.
