Projects 2026

Lake Isle Oceanwise Western Grebe Project

Late in 2025, Brittany Rae (MSc Restoration Ecology) approached LILSA to map and study and educate about the Western Grebe in Isle Lake under a grant program. We are thoroughly impressed with her findings as well as the information she is presenting.

LILSA approved taking the lead in developing a comprehensive Lake Management Plan for Lac Ste. Anne and Lake Isle that will include strategies for protecting and improving water quality and quantity. It may include the feasibility of a water control and/or a fish passage structure.  The project name will be WQ  , short for Water Quality and Water Quantity.
